What we collect when you request an estimate
The estimate form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number, the city or ZIP code of the project, the type of handyman services work, a short description, and how soon you hope to start. We also record the page you sent it from and a hashed (non-reversible) version of your IP address to limit spam. We do not ask for your street address, payment details or any government ID.
Who receives your request
Home Repair Scopebook is a planning and matching service. When you submit the form, your request is stored securely and passed to independent local professionals who work on handyman services projects in your area, so they can contact you with a written estimate. Those professionals are separate businesses; once they contact you, their own privacy terms apply to what they do with your details. We do not sell your information to data brokers or use it for unrelated marketing.
Polls, calculators and quizzes
Poll votes are anonymous. Your browser receives a random identifier so it can vote once per poll; only a hashed version of that identifier is stored with the vote, never your name, email or IP address. The cost calculator and planning quiz run in your browser and do not send your inputs to us. The chat assistant sends the questions you type to an AI provider to generate an answer; do not type personal details into it.
Cookies and analytics
Home Repair Scopebook uses one functional cookie for poll voting and does not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If analytics are added, this page will be updated to name the provider and what it records.
How long we keep it
Estimate requests are kept for up to 24 months so we can answer follow-up questions and handle requests to correct or delete them, then deleted. Anonymous poll votes are kept as aggregate counts.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information in your estimate request at any time by emailing info@homehandyservices.online with the email address you used on the form. Homeowners in states with their own privacy laws, including California, Colorado, Virginia and Connecticut, have the rights those laws provide, and we honor them for everyone.
